Below are several tips that can reduce the risk of complications and promote healing of the affected area after sinus lift surgery.
It is normal to have the following signs a few days after surgery:
Sensitivity at the surgery site
Slight swelling on the face
Possibility of skin color change
Slight bleeding
2 weeks after surgery
Take medication as prescribed
Do not blow your nose to avoid creating sinus pressure
If you have to sneeze, do it with your mouth open to avoid unnecessary pressure on the sinus areas.
Under no circumstances should you lift your lip to see the stitches.
Do not suck with your mouth (do not spit, do not drink through a straw or from a bottle)
Do not smoke and do not consume alcohol.
It is normal to have small bone particles in your mouth during the days following surgery
Raise your head with 2 or 3 pillows at bedtime
Soft diet (pasta, soup, oatmeal, egg, liquid dietary supplement (Ensure), ice cream). A good diet gives you strength and helps with healing
Afterwards:
Do not bend over for 8 weeks.
Do not make any physical effort or activity for 2-3 weeks after the procedure, after which you can gradually go
